My Season

My season has the smell of smoke from the grill. The sun rises early and sets late. Children playing in the park. It's the loud honking of automobile horns while speeding on the streets, and tires screeching with shiny spinners. Women wearing spaghetti straps and slinky slippers. Men dressed in Bahama shorts. People pass by wearing the season's newest scent. It is absolutely time for that haircut, so we got ours. This was absolutely needed after being inside for over 100 days due to COVID-19 restrictions. Time for that overdue pedicure and manicure. How about a massage? Have you figured out my season? It comes after spring and before fall. Yes, it is absolutely summer time. Does not seem like summer vacation will be happening this year. This COVID-19 pandemic has really interrupted our plans for 2020 summer vacation. I remember visiting the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre, France and Junkanoo Beach, Bahamas. Are you going on vacation this year?
